Current Military Legal Issues Facing Civilian Attorneys

August 5, 2008, 8:00 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.

PBI is offering reduced tuition for attorneys who volunteer with a pro bono project assisting military service members and veterans. With the war on terror, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and other possible world trouble spots demanding the commitment of American military power, deployments of active, reserve, and National Guard units have reached levels not seen in decades. While the military’s JAG officers are currently handling many of the legal questions and concerns of those deployed, assistance is needed for family members and veterans, especially in areas of practice where JAG officers are prohibited from assisting. This program will be simulcast live in Pittsburgh at the PBI Professional Development Conference Center, Heinz 57 Center, 339 Sixth Ave., 7th Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15219, on August 5, 2008, 8:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Click here for more information or call PBI at 1-800-932-4637.
