Grants Program
2003 grant recipients
In 2003, the Foundation awarded grants totaling $20,000 to the following legal-related organizations:
Disabilities Law Project
To provide on-going support of Legal Outreach Program, which provide pro bono legal services to Allegheny County residents with disabilities at residential facilities and community drop-in centers.
Education Law Center
To help fund the Parent Legal Assistance Project, which provides pro bono legal services to low-income and minority residents in Allegheny County who have children enrolled in public schools or early intervention program and are at risk of school failure.
KidsVoice
To provide seed money to develop and implement a pro bono program to use volunteer attorneys to advocate for the safety and well-being of children victimized by abuse, maltreatment and severe neglect.
Neighborhood Legal Services Association
To provide on-going support of Helpline, which provide telephone advice and brief legal services to low-income residents in Allegheny County.
North Hills Community Outreach, Inc.
To provide on-going support of Ask the Attorney, a program that provides legal consultation and representation to low-income individuals.
