2005 grant recipients
In 2005, the Foundation awarded grants totaling $20,000 to the following legal-related organizations:
Education Law Center
To increase the availability of knowledgeable attorneys who will represent on a pro bono or reduced fee basis, children with disabilities and children of color in educational matters.
Jewish Family & Children's Service of Pittsburgh
To fund the Pittsburgh Regional Immigrant Assistance Center, which provides immigration services to the most needy immigrants in southwestern Pennsylvania so that they can become productive residents of the region.
KidsVoice
To create a website, which identifies the myriad of services and options available to children with special needs.
Neighborhood Legal Services Association
To help underwrite the Comprehensive Assessment/Action Project (CAAP) initiative which assists low-income families as they move from welfare to self-sufficiency by identifying existing support resources.
