Jennifer R. Andrade

Jennifer Andrade Jennifer R. Andrade is an Assistant U.S. Attorney and Chief of the Civil Division of the United States Attorney's Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Prior to her current role as Chief of the Civil Division, Ms. Andrade was a trial AUSA during which time she gained extensive experience as the sole and lead trial counsel in both civil and criminal cases.

Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Ms. Andrade was an associate at Sherrard, German & Kelly, P.C. where her practice focused on trial and appellate litigation of business and employment matters. Ms. Andrade began her legal career as a federal law clerk to the Honorable Ila Jeanne Sensenich, U.S. Magistrate Judge, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Ms. Andrade has been an active member of the Allegheny County Bar Association since graduating from law school, taking on numerous Division and Committee leadership roles throughout the years. In July 2019, Ms. Andrade began a two-year term as President of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation. Ms. Andrade recently completed a second two-year terms as a Senior Hearing Officer for the Disciplinary Board of PA Supreme Court, District IV. She also regularly volunteers at various pro bono legal clinics, and is a frequent speaker and panelist for law school programs and CLEs.

Ms. Andrade is a graduate of Boston University and earned her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
